João Félix leaving Chelsea?

Milan AC is interested in acquiring Joao Felix on a loan with an option to buy for 35 million euros. Joao Felix, a Portuguese international, has made 11 appearances and scored 1 goal in the Premier League this season. He was purchased by Chelsea for 52 million euros last summer.

Joao Felix is appreciated by Milan's coach Sergio Conceiçao, who shares the same agent, Jorge Mendes. Felix is under contract with Chelsea until June 2031. He was acquired last summer from Atletico Madrid for 52 million euros, and previously transferred from Benfica to Atletico for 127 million euros. Last season, he was on loan at Barcelona.

Joao Felix is considering leaving Chelsea despite only joining last summer from Atletico Madrid. He has started just three Premier League games since his move and is out of favor under new manager Enzo Maresca. Several top clubs are reportedly interested in him, and he will have plenty of offers if he decides to leave. Felix loves Chelsea but may need to move on to reignite his career.

Joao Felix is reportedly experiencing frustration over his limited playing time at Chelsea. Journalist Simon Phillips, writing on Substack, has indicated that Felix is finding it difficult to secure frequent appearances in his second stint at Stamford Bridge due to competition from other players such as Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer, and Noni Madueke. Despite his dissatisfaction with the current circumstances, Felix is not expected to depart in January. However, this issue might be reconsidered as next summer approaches. Chelsea may contemplate letting him go because of the surplus of attacking options, including the forthcoming arrival of Estevao Willian.

João Félix, currently at Chelsea, is facing strong competition from players like Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku. Despite his efforts, he has not made a significant impact in London, with his value dropping from 100 M€ to 30 M€. A meeting is planned between João Félix and his coach to discuss his role, as he is not willing to remain a secondary player indefinitely. Chelsea is open to offers for him, expecting interest from other clubs.

Chelsea is contemplating the sale of Joao Félix in the upcoming winter transfer window. The club has expressed doubts about the investment made last summer, when they paid over 50 million euros for the Portuguese forward. Joao Félix has struggled to secure a starting position under coach Enzo Maresca, predominantly featuring in Conference League and domestic cup matches. His performance has been described as underwhelming, leading Chelsea to view his departure as an opportunity to reinvest in more consistent options. Benfica, his former club, is reported to be monitoring his situation closely.
