Joao Grimaldo leaving Partizan?
Partizan and the Mexican club Juarez were in negotiations for Grimaldo's transfer. Juarez was reportedly ready to pay a loan fee of $100,000 and include a buyout clause of 1.9 million euros, which is more than what Partizan paid to Sporting Cristal for his acquisition. However, the winter transfer window in Mexico closed without a final agreement among the three parties.
Grimaldo, who joined Partizan last summer for 1.4 million euros, has not met expectations with only nine appearances, mostly as a substitute. Peruvian media report that San Diego is interested in acquiring his services.
Joao Grimaldo has been informed by Partizan's new coach Savo Milošević that he is no longer part of the club's plans and is free to find a new club.
