Jhon Arias Transfer from Fluminense to Feyenoord
Jhon Arias has extended his contract with Fluminense, as announced by the club's president, Mário Bittencourt. This decision has ended any potential transfer to Feyenoord, who were previously interested in the Colombian international.
Fluminense also rejected an approach from Feyenoord for Jhon Arias. The Brazilian club decided to extend the contract with the Colombian midfielder instead.
Feyenoord approached Fluminense just before the closing of the winter transfer market, according to reports from 1908. The Rotterdam club is considering the possibility of bringing 27-year-old Jhon Arias to De Kuip. Negotiations have commenced between Feyenoord and the Brazilian club. Initially, the discussion appears to focus on a loan, but the long-term goal is for Arias to permanently join the Rotterdam club. Arias has a market value of sixteen million euros and is contracted with Fluminense until the summer of 2026. He is considered a crucial player for Fluminense, having scored 43 goals and provided 42 assists in 196 official matches. While Arias primarily plays as a right winger, he is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder and left winger, offering coach Brian Priske additional options in the forward line.
