Jeppe Okkels Transfer from Preston North End to Aberdeen
Jeppe Okkels has been brought to Aberdeen with a loan agreement including an option to buy in the summer for a seven-figure fee.
Aberdeen has secured an initial season-long loan for the Danish winger from Preston, with an option included in the deal. The new manager of Preston, Paul Heckingbottom, has decided to permit Okkels to leave, as his tactical approach does not involve the use of wingers. Okkels arrived in Aberdeen the previous night. The 24-year-old winger, who had a stint under the management of Jimmy Thelin at Elfsborg, was transferred to Utrecht for £3 million last year before making a move to Preston during the summer. Thelin, who originally signed him from Silkeborg in 2020, is currently aiming to bolster his team following a difficult phase.
