J. Stage leaving SV Werder Bremen?
Jens Stage has extended his contract with Werder Bremen, which was originally set to run until 2026. Despite the extension, it remains possible that he could become a significant source of transfer income for Werder in the coming summer. Both the club and the player acknowledge this situation, with discussions about potential offers being a possibility. Stage conveyed his respect for the club and noted the importance of having an honest discussion if an offer were to come in.
Jens Stage, an important player for Werder Bremen, has drawn attention from other clubs because of his impressive performance. His contract, which runs until 2026, lacks a release clause. Stage is a prominent figure in Bremen's midfield and is presently the club's top scorer with four league goals. Peter Niemeyer, Werder's head of licensing, commended Stage for being a consistent and influential player. Stage was transferred from FC Copenhagen to Werder Bremen in the summer of 2022 for a fee of four million euros.
