Leicester announced the contract renewal with captain Jamie Vardy for another season, until June 2025. The 37-year-old forward will play another season at the highest level, as the club was the Championship champion, thus ensuring the return to the Premier League, a year after the descent. This will be his 13th season with the English champion of 2015/16, in which he scored 20 goals and made two assists, for all competitions.

Leicester have announced club legend Jamie Vardy has signed a new one-year deal after he spearheaded the Foxes to Premier League promotion. Vardy had been linked with a switch to Welsh side Wrexham, who will be competing in League One next term. But the retired England international will be having another crack at the Premier League in what will be his 13th season at the King Power Stadium.
