Manchester City have decided to sell Jack Grealish amid concerns over his off-field conduct. Former club Aston Villa would be interested in re-signing the England international.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to his former club Aston Villa in recent weeks, and due to his bit-part role at City, there is a belief in the industry that he will be available for transfer this summer and also, he is likely to be open to moving to another club where he will have a more important role at.

Grealish's future at Manchester City looks increasingly uncertain with super-agent Jorge Mendes reportedly ready to take his replacement to the Etihad. Grealish cost City a then-British record £100 million when he joined from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021. His playing time has diminished, and this season each of Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Jeremy Doku have occupied the wide attacking areas more often than he has. Villa might like to take Grealish back - although he would be prohibitively expensive if City looked to recoup most of their initial outlay - but his position is nonetheless under pressure.
