Viktoria Berlin has secured the loan of Ukrainian U-21 national player Ivan Yermachkov from Werder Bremen until the end of the season. The 19-year-old defender, who has been part of Bremen's U-23 team, is anticipated to fill the gap left by defense chief Aidan Liu at Berlin. Yermachkov, who was trained at the youth academy of Ukrainian club Kolos Kovalivka, has been playing for Wuppertaler SV in the Junior Bundesliga since 2022. During the U-19 European Championship 2023, he helped Ukraine reach the semi-finals. Yermachkov expressed that Viktoria Berlin is reputed for its trust in and development of young players. Although his time in Bremen did not go as planned, he is now focused on the future and is confident that he has made the right decision for his career.
