Ivan Toney Transfer from Brentford to West Ham United

Ivan Toney has been left out of the Brentford squad for their first game of the season due to 'transfer interest'. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have all been linked with Toney, though none have presented an offer to Brentford to this point with just under a fortnight of the window remaining.

West Ham have expressed an interest in Brentford striker Ivan Toney. However, they have been put off by his £60 million price tag.

Ivan Toney's Brentford exit is in doubt after his replacement Igor Thiago suffered an injury, with West Ham in the hunt for the 28-year-old.

Ivan Toney was expected to leave Brentford with West Ham showing interest. Brentford was willing to lower the initial price of 30 million EUR to half to complete the transfer.

West Ham are another potential destination. Toney's former chairman at Peterborough, Darragh MacAnthony, urged West Ham to swoop in for the forward. MacAnthony believes West Ham's David Sullivan has always liked Toney and might try to get him at a bargain offer from Brentford.

Ivan Toney is reportedly prepared to let his Brentford contract run down and leave the club on a free transfer next summer. West Ham United are also keen on the 28-year-old. Toney is yet to engage in contract extension talks with Brentford.

West Ham are one of the most likely suitors for Brentford's Ivan Toney.

Brentford is willing to reduce Ivan Toney’s price by 30 million GBP (approximately 35M€) to meet the financial demands of West Ham.

Brentford are set to reduce their asking price for Ivan Toney to below £50m because of a lack of interest. West Ham United are seen as the likeliest suitors.

Brentford have reduced their asking price for Ivan Toney to under €50 million. West Ham are currently the frontrunners in the race to secure Toney. Brentford manager Thomas Frank has admitted that it is virtually certain that Toney will be sold at the end of the campaign.

West Ham have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney amid interest from Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea. Football Insider claims that the Hammers want 'to finally address their lack of depth up front and view Toney as their top target' and now David Moyes’ side are in 'pole position' to land the 'statement' signing from Brentford. The website’s transfer correspondent, Pete O’Rourke, insists that there is a “good chance” West Ham will beat Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea and other clubs to the signing of the England international. Brentford 'are ready to cash in on Toney this summer as he enters the final year of his contract' with Arsenal 'set to scrap their long-term interest' in the striker – but Chelsea are 'set to provide competition for Toney’s signature'.
