Ivan Prtajin Transfer from FC Union Berlin to Hertha BSC

Ivan Prtajin wanted to be loaned to an ambitious second division club after a frustrating half-year at Union Berlin with only 16 minutes of play. However, the new coach Steffen Baumgart refused the transfer, promising Prtajin a new chance at Union Berlin.

Hertha BSC is particularly focused on acquiring Ivan Prtajin from their city rival Union Berlin. The club's sporting director, Benjamin Weber, mentioned that they are looking for a forward but have financial constraints. Other second division clubs and Bundesliga clubs are also interested in Prtajin, so Hertha would need to make an extra effort to secure the deal.

Ivan Prtajin is currently involved in a transfer race with Hertha BSC, Hannover, and Köln all interested in signing him this winter. Despite limited playing time at Union Berlin, where he has only made two appearances this season, these clubs are showing strong interest in acquiring his services. Union Berlin's coach, Bo Svensson, is satisfied with Prtajin, but it remains uncertain whether he will be allowed to leave. Prtajin is under contract with Union Berlin until 2027.

Hertha BSC has shown interest in Ivan Prtajin for a potential winter transfer. Ivan Prtajin, a 28-year-old player currently at Union Berlin, has had limited playtime, with only five minutes on the field since his summer transfer from Wehen Wiesbaden to the Bundesliga. It has been reported that Prtajin is attracting interest not only from Hertha BSC but also from several other German clubs, including 1. FC Köln, Hannover 96, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, FC St. Pauli, and Holstein Kiel, who are considering a loan move for the forward. Transfers within Berlin have become more common, with players like Lucas Tousart and Alexander Schwolow previously making moves between the local rivals, and Prtajin might follow this trend.
