Ivan Leguizamon Transfer from San Lorenzo to Olimpia

San Lorenzo has reached an agreement with Olimpia, the recent champions of Paraguay, to sell 50% of Iván Leguizamón's transfer rights. The transfer was officially announced on Monday. The operation is valued at approximately two million dollars, which includes clearing a 650,000-dollar debt related to Facundo Bruera. Leguizamón, who has played 128 matches for San Lorenzo, scoring ten goals and providing eight assists, was specifically requested by Martín Palermo, the coach of Olimpia, during this transfer window. Olimpia fans are optimistic about a successful partnership with Darío Benedetto.

Olimpia has expressed a strong interest in acquiring Iván Leguizamón, making an initial offer of 1.5 million USD for 50% of his rights. San Lorenzo, on the other hand, is seeking at least 2 million USD. There is a potential arrangement to include a 650,000 USD payment due in January for the acquisition of Bruera, which could decrease the monetary benefit from the transfer of Leguizamón. This interest in transferring Leguizamón arises within a larger negotiation framework between the two clubs, as San Lorenzo had previously purchased Facundo Bruera from Olimpia. The agreement for Bruera involved a fee of 1.25 million USD, where 648,000 USD was structured as a 'loan' from the player himself, to be reimbursed through bonuses over his three-year contract. This financial setup has impacted the current negotiations for Leguizamón, underscoring the ongoing financial dynamics between the clubs.
