Iván Fresneda Transfer from Sporting CP to Valencia
Valencia tried to sign Iván Fresneda to replace the injured Thierry Rendall. Fresneda initially agreed to join Valencia but also negotiated with Como. He became a regular starter for Sporting Lisbon in January.
Negotiations between Sporting and Valência for Iván Fresneda failed, as well as with Como, due to interest from Juventus in Alberto from Vitória de Guimarães.
Negotiations with Sporting for Iván Fresneda have stalled. Sporting informed Valencia that a decision regarding Fresneda's future will not be made until the end of the competition. If Sporting progresses to the final, the club will consider loaning the player from Monday.
Valencia is competing with Como for Iván Fresneda, seeking a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy for 10 million euros. Fresneda has had limited playing time at Sporting and is being evaluated by the new coach Rui Borges. Decision on his future is pending until after the League Cup semi-finals against FC Porto.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Valencia is growing impatient with the loan deal for Iván Fresneda to the club. The 20-year-old right-back is considered the priority option to fill the gap left by Thierry Rendall's severe injury at the end of October. However, despite everything being arranged, Sporting CP has recently halted the operation. The appointment of Rui Borges as the head coach of Sporting CP is believed to have altered the club's plans, particularly since Fresneda was used as a substitute in the match against Benfica following a series of games where he was not utilized.
Valencia has completed its first winter transfer by acquiring Ivan Fresneda on loan until the end of the season. This acquisition is intended to reinforce a vital position after Thierry Correia's long-term injury. Fresneda, who is 20 years old, has played a limited role at Sporting CP, accumulating only 203 minutes this season. Valencia regards him as a promising talent capable of making a significant impact in the latter part of the campaign. The loan deal is nearly finalized, with ongoing discussions about the inclusion of a purchase option. Sporting CP is insisting on a minimum valuation of 7.5 million euros for such a clause.
Spanish media reports an agreement between the Spanish club Valencia and the 20-year-old Sporting CP player Iván Fresneda for a six-month loan with an option to buy, estimated around €7.5 million. However, according to A BOLA, João Pereira has not yet made a decision and wants to see more of the player, who joined Sporting CP at the beginning of this season for €9 million paid to Valladolid.
