I. Pittas leaving AIK?

AIK's sporting director Thomas Berntsen confirmed that two bids were received for Ioannis Pittas in the last week. While both offers were substantial, they did not meet AIK's valuation of around 20 million SEK. Berntsen made a counter-offer on one of the bids, but the club has not responded yet. Interest is noted from clubs in Asia and Eastern Europe, and the transfer windows in these markets remain open after major European leagues close at the end of January.

AIK has reportedly rejected a bid from Chinese club Shenzhen Peng City FC for Ioannis Pittas, as reported by Expressen.

Ioannis Pittas, a Cypriot striker, is highly valued by AIK, who would like to retain him. However, the club has received offers for Pittas, similar to last year, but none have met AIK's valuation. Thomas Berntsen, AIK's sports director, emphasized Pittas's importance to the team and mentioned his hard work and local impact. The decision to sell will ultimately be made by the club's board based on the offers received.

Ioannis Pittas mentioned he is likely to leave AIK. He is seeking more prestige, money, and challenges. Despite criticism over goal-scoring in recent months, his significant contribution to press and defense is acknowledged. AIK recognizes the difficulty in replacing his work capacity.
