On July 1, Brentford welcomed new striker Igor Thiago to the club, after concluding negotiations to sign the Club Brugge star earlier in the year. The deal makes Thiago the Bees’ most expensive signing ever and Brugge’s second most valuable sale ever.

The Brazilian forward completed a club record move to Brentford from Club Brugge this week, becoming the Bees' new number nine. Thiago agreed to move to England in February, with his transfer finally confirmed on Monday. He has now become Thomas Frank's first summer signing at Brentford as he bolsters his attacking options.

Igor Thiago will leave Club Bruges at the end of the season to join Brentford. The English club announced on Wednesday the signing of the Brazilian forward for five years (plus an optional year, activatable by the club). The 22-year-old attacker from Club Bruges will finish the season in Belgium before joining his new club on July 1st. The transfer fee is 37 million euros.
