Iddrisu Baba leaving Almería?

According to exclusive sources from Africafoot, Iddrisu Baba is expected to extend his contract with UD Almería for two years in the coming days. The Ghanaian international has reportedly reached an agreement with his management, who have promised him a salary increase to 950,000 euros per year from the current 820,000 euros. While his contract with Almería ends in June 2027, the 29-year-old defensive midfielder has reportedly reached an agreement with the club's board for a two-year extension after a few days of talks. He is now expected to be tied to the club until June 2029.

Idrissu Baba, Ghanaian player of Almería (28 years old), has his hours numbered in the Almería team. The team, pending official confirmation of their relegation to LaLiga Hypermotion, is already designing the squad for the next season and the player is not part of their plans. So much so that Baba's destination seems already decided. The African player will cross 'the pond' to join the New England Revolution, of the American MLS. Negotiations between all parties are reportedly very advanced and could be finalized in a matter of days, according to Relevo. However, the negotiations have a time limit. Specifically, until next Tuesday, April 23, which is when the transfer market in the United States will close, according to information revealed by Diario de Almería.
