Newcastle United is considering signing Hugo Ekitike as a potential replacement if their current forward, Alexander Isak, departs the club this summer. Previously, Ekitike had been on the verge of joining Newcastle during his tenure at Stade Reims but ultimately chose Paris Saint-Germain instead. Newcastle's interest in Ekitike persists, viewing him as a suitable candidate to fill Isak's shoes. Ekitike's transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt was finalized for €16.5m in July, and since then, he has netted 17 goals and contributed six assists in 32 matches across all competitions. His existing contract with Eintracht Frankfurt is valid until 2029, with an estimated transfer value of €41.2m. Should Isak, who has been associated with moves to Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Liverpool, leave the club, Newcastle is prepared to actively pursue Ekitike as his replacement.
