Héctor Herrera, a 34-year-old midfielder and former FC Porto player, has signed with the Mexican club Toluca. The Mexican international is returning to his home country after more than a decade and is joining Paulinho, a former Sporting forward who has been playing for Toluca since last season. Herrera, who was developed at Pachuca, left Mexico 11 years ago to join FC Porto, where he played from the 2013/14 season to the 2018/19 season. Following his time at Porto, he spent three seasons at Atlético Madrid and another three at Houston Dynamo in the USA.
