Hector Fort Transfer from FC Barcelona to Valencia
Valencia made an attempt to sign Héctor Fort before the winter transfer window closed, aiming to strengthen their defense following Thierry Correia's injury. Barcelona, however, turned down the option of Fort leaving, expressing a preference to retain him as part of their future plans despite interest from multiple clubs. Valencia was interested in a loan deal for Fort, viewing him as a suitable candidate for the right-back role, where they were lacking depth. Nonetheless, Barcelona, appreciating Fort's potential and anticipated future contribution to the team, particularly with Jules Koundé as the current first choice, opted not to release him. As a result, Valencia opted to sign Max Aarons from Bournemouth to enhance their defense instead. Barcelona's plan to acquire a new right-back in the summer might provide Fort an opportunity to seek more playing time elsewhere, possibly through a loan or a sale with a buy-back clause.
