H. Sahabo Transfer from Standard Liège to Beerschot-Wilrijk
Hakim Sahabo, a 19-year-old defensive midfielder, is leaving Standard Luik to join Beerschot on loan. Sahabo has fallen out of favor at Standard Luik and Beerschot, currently struggling at the bottom of the league, needs reinforcement. The loan deal does not include a purchase option.
Hakim Sahabo, a 19-year-old Belgian Rwandan international, is preparing to leave Standard Liège to join Beerschot. Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has indicated that medical tests have been arranged, suggesting it is only a matter of time before the midfielder officially transfers to Kiel. Sahabo, who has previously played for KRC Genk's youth team and experienced a stint abroad with Lille, returned to Standard in the summer of 2023. Although he has not appeared in the Jupiler Pro League this season, he has participated in nine matches in the league and nine in the Jupiler Pro League Europe Play-Offs. At Beerschot, a team currently battling relegation, he is hopeful of securing more playing time.
Beerschot is interested in signing Hakim Sahabo from Standard Liège. The player is a 19-year-old midfielder who broke through in the second half of last season but has not been featured this season under coach Ivan Leko. Beerschot has already made a concrete offer for Sahabo. Negotiations were temporarily halted due to a transfer ban on Beerschot, which has now been lifted. Discussions are expected to resume soon, with the deal anticipated to be completed.
