According to O' Jogo, Sport Recife has shown interest in Gustavo Assuncao. Assuncao's contract will expire this summer, allowing him to become a free agent eligible to join any club. The 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who currently plays for AVS in Portugal, has drawn attention from various clubs, including Dinamo Bucharest, PAOK, and teams from Turkey, Spain, Mexico, and Wydad Casablanca, with the latter not being viewed as an ideal career move for him. Assuncao, an Atletico Madrid academy graduate who has also played for Galatasaray and Famalicão, has scored two goals in 13 appearances this season. He is the son of former Porto and Atletico Madrid midfielder Paulo Assuncao.
