Gustav Christensen is set to join Ingolstadt on loan until the end of the season. Ingolstadt, a club in the third division, holds an option to purchase the player. Hertha-Manager Benjamin Weber mentioned that the transfer to FCI provides Gustav with an opportunity for more regular playing time, which the club aimed to facilitate as loans to the 3rd division have proven beneficial for them recently. The 20-year-old Danish player, who became a part of Hertha BSC in the summer of 2023, has mainly participated in the Regionalliga this season, with only two minutes played in the 2nd Bundesliga and seven appearances in the Regionalliga. This transfer, disclosed on the final day of the transfer window, was Hertha's sole outgoing move as no new strikers were acquired despite showing interest in players like Thomas Henry and Luis Vazquez.
