Gustav Tang Isaksen Transfer from Lazio to Celtic

Gustav Isaksen is liked by Bologna and Celtic of Glasgow, but he prefers to stay in Rome. Lazio does not consider him untouchable and values his transfer between 18 and 20 million euros. An offer in this range could resolve financial constraints for Lazio.

Gustav Isaksen is reportedly being encouraged to leave Lazio. Celtic expressed interest in the final days of the summer transfer window with a loan proposal that included an option to buy, but this was allegedly rejected. According to reports in Italy, Celtic continues to be interested in the winter window, although Isaksen reportedly has reservations about moving to Scotland and would need persuasion from Celtic to agree to the transfer. Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito is eager to capitalize on Isaksen's potential transfer, particularly with the arrival of Arijon Ibrahimovic, which might signal the end of Isaksen’s stint at Lazio. Lazio is seeking a £12.5 million fee but is open to a loan arrangement with an option to purchase at the end of the season.

With Ibrahimovic's arrival at Lazio, Isaksen might contemplate leaving the club. Although he had previously expressed happiness at Lazio and a desire to build his career there, the club does not view him as indispensable. There has been interest from Bologna and Celtic of Glasgow, but no official offers have been made yet. The club is likely to consider a suitable offer, particularly to free up economic resources and roster spots. The possibility of his departure remains open until February 3, after which discussions will be postponed until the summer. His contract, signed in 2023 for 12 million euros, extends until 2028, but his performance has been inconsistent.

Gustav Isaksen had previously described a move to Celtic as 'boring' following the collapse of the transfer last summer. However, reports indicate that Lazio is eager to offload Isaksen this month to fund their January activities, with Celtic maintaining their interest from the winter window. It was reported that a loan move with an option to buy had been previously rejected. Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito is willing to consider a sale to free up cash for the club's manager, Marco Baroni, to push for Champions League places. Brendan Rodgers' side continues to pursue a deal.

Gustav Isaksen has attracted interest from Celtic. Lazio is asking for 15 million euros. There have been preliminary discussions with intermediaries, who are the same as those for Nuno Tavares and Gigot. Lazio might prefer to wait until June for the transfer.

Gustav Isaksen disclosed that a move to Celtic was never seriously considered. The Swedish winger had been discussed by Parkhead scouts before the transfer window closed. His club, Lazio, were only open to a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the deal. Isaksen mentioned that he had no intention of leaving the club during the summer, irrespective of any interest, as he found the prospect of leaving 'boring' after spending a year settling in at Lazio.

There were rumors of a loan move to Celtic for Gustav Isaksen. However, the player decided to stay at Lazio, stating that he wanted to stay and become an important player for the team.

Lazio have expressed their desire to keep Gustav Isaksen for another year, but they could be persuaded to sell if a permanent offer is made. Celtic have shown interest in the winger this summer, but no official bid has been made yet. A permanent transfer or a loan with obligation to buy would be considered, but a straight loan deal is not an option.

Various reports from Italy revealed that Celts had made an enquiry for the Denmark cap but Sky Sports reports that the 23-year-old wants to stay and fight for his future at the Eternal City.

Celtic have been linked with a loan swoop for Lazio star Gustav Isaksen. Various Italian reports suggest that Celtic are in talks over a loan deal which would include an obligation to buy. Isaksen moved to Lazio from Midtjylland last summer in a deal worth around £10million.
