G. Isaksen Transfer from Lazio to Bologna

Gustav Isaksen is liked by Bologna and Celtic of Glasgow, but he prefers to stay in Rome. Lazio does not consider him untouchable and values his transfer between 18 and 20 million euros. An offer in this range could resolve financial constraints for Lazio.

With Ibrahimovic's arrival at Lazio, Isaksen might be contemplating a move. Although he has conveyed his contentment at Lazio and his ambition to advance his career there, the club does not see him as indispensable. Bologna and Celtic of Glasgow have shown interest, but nothing has been made official yet. The club is likely to consider an appropriate offer, particularly to free up financial resources and roster spots. The possibility of his departure remains open until February 3, after which discussions will be deferred to the summer. His contract, signed in 2023 for 12 million euros, extends until 2028, but his performance has been inconsistent.

The Daily Record has reported that Lazio intends to sell Gustav Isaksen to finance their January activities. The club is said to be eager to transfer Isaksen this month to support their upcoming plans. Bologna is expressing interest in signing the player. It is understood that Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito is open to selling Isaksen to generate funds for the club's manager, Marco Baroni, to enhance their chances of securing a spot in the Champions League. The club aims to finalize a €15 million sale but remains open to other potential market scenarios, such as a loan with an option to buy.

Gustav Isaksen has attracted interest from Bologna, as well as clubs from the Premier League and Celtic. Lazio is asking for 15 million euros. There have been preliminary discussions with intermediaries, who are the same as those for Nuno Tavares and Gigot. Lazio might prefer to wait until June for the transfer, but an earlier move could help address their liquidity index.
