Gustav Berggren attracted interest for a potential transfer following the conclusion of the last season. It was reported that New York Red Bulls were keen on securing his services and had proposed a 2.5 million euro offer for the transfer, as per Tomasz Wlodarczyk from Meczyki.pl. Nevertheless, it was made known by his current club, Raków Częstochowa, that they were not inclined to let him leave at that time. Berggren is under contract with Raków until the end of June next year, with an option for an additional year. Plans to discuss his future are set for the coming spring.
