Jorge Sampaoli, the new coach of Stade Rennais, is interested in recruiting Gerson, a midfielder who has experience in Ligue 1 from his time at Olympique de Marseille (2021-2022), where he also worked with Sampaoli. Rennes has not made an official offer yet, and Flamengo is unlikely to part with such a key player easily.
