Georges Mikautadze has signed a contract with Lyon until 2028. The 23-year-old forward joins from Metz in a deal worth 18.5 million euros plus bonuses up to 4.5 million euros. Despite interest from other clubs, including Monaco, Mikautadze chose to join Lyon, a club he represented in his youth.

Lyon reached an agreement with Metz for approximately 18 million euros (plus 5 million in bonuses), and the player signed a contract until June 30, 2028.

Olympique Lyon, Mikautadze's hometown club and his youth club, intervened in the transfer. Mikautadze decided to return to Lyon, and the clubs agreed on a transfer fee of 18 million euros. Mikautadze has undergone medical examinations today.
