Gedson Fernandes is set to leave Beşiktaş and join Zenit. The two clubs are close to finalizing a deal worth 20 million euros. Zenit has offered the player a 4-year contract with an annual salary of 3 million euros, excluding bonuses.

The transfer is in the final stages between Zenit and Besiktas for Gedson Fernandes's move to the Russian championship. At this point, only payment schedules from the Saint Petersburg club are still being aligned with the Turks. All bureaucratic process should be treated by Sunday. Gedson Fernandes has been at Besiktas for two seasons and has played 81 games, scoring 6 goals and 11 assists.

Zenit has started negotiations to sign Gedson Fernandes from Besiktas. If the transfer is finalized, Benfica will have the right to 50% of the transfer fee, as they had safeguarded this right when Gedson Fernandes was transferred to Besiktas in June 2022. The Turkish club will not let Gedson leave for less than 20 million euros. In a deal of this size, Benfica would get a considerable cut of 10 million euros. Gedson Fernandes scored three goals and made five assists in 45 games for the Istanbul team in the 2023/24 season. He has a contract with Besiktas until 2027.
