Gabriel Barbosa, also known as Gabigol, was disqualified for two years for fraud in anti-doping tests by the Anti-Doping Sports Court (retroactive penalty effective from April 8, 2023, therefore valid until April 2025), but now there has been a turn of events that will allow the 1996 class to regularly take the field. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne has announced that Gabigol can resume playing pending his appeal against his disqualification for violation of doping rules.
