Fuki Yamada, a 23-year-old Japanese forward, is set to join Nacional on loan until the end of the current season, with Nacional having the option to purchase his contract. This will be Yamada's first experience playing outside of Japan. In the current year, Yamada scored five goals in 23 matches for Tokyo Verdy and has also represented Japan in the under-23 and Olympic teams. Rui Alves, the president of Nacional, confirmed Yamada's arrival and mentioned that both he and Brazilian player Paulinho Bóia are expected to strengthen the team's attacking options starting in January. Notably, Yamada and Bóia were teammates at Kyoto Sanga from 2022 to 2023. The two players are anticipated to arrive in Funchal on January 2.
