Fredrik Oppegård Transfer from PSV to Auxerre

Fredrik Oppegard has been sold by PSV to Auxerre. He has signed a contract in France until mid-2028. Fabrizio Romano reported that Oppegard successfully passed his medical examination with Auxerre. The deal is now officially confirmed. PSV receives a small transfer fee and has negotiated a sell-on percentage. Oppegard's contract with PSV was until mid-2025, limiting the transfer fee PSV could demand.

Fredrik Oppegard is reportedly on the verge of transferring to Auxerre, with sources from Voetbal International and Eindhovens Dagblad indicating that a definitive agreement is expected soon. The 22-year-old left-back, who joined PSV in 2019 from Valerenga in Norway, has struggled to secure a regular starting position despite reaching the first team. He has often been behind Mauro Júnior and Matteo Dams in the selection order. With Sergiño Dest's return from a serious injury, Oppegard's chances at PSV have diminished further. PSV is set to receive a small transfer fee for Oppegard, who has an expiring contract, and has also arranged a sell-on clause, which will allow them to benefit from any future transfer of the Norwegian player. Auxerre, currently ranked eleventh in Ligue 1, presents a new opportunity for both PSV and Oppegard.
