Fredrik Aursnes has signed a new contract with Benfica, extending his stay until 2029. His previous contract was set to expire in June 2027. This marks his third season with the club since leaving Feyenoord in the summer of 2022 for a fee of 13 million euros.

Fredrik Aursnes will return to the midfield next season, where he shone in the 2022/2023 season, which ended with the title win.
