Manchester United has shown interest in signing Franco Mastantuono, the 17-year-old offensive player from River Plate, following Real Madrid's withdrawal.

Manchester United have reportedly joined the competition to acquire River Plate's prodigious talent, Franco Mastantuono. The club has expressed their interest in the young central midfielder and is prepared to contend with Barcelona for his acquisition. Mastantuono has accumulated 27 first-team appearances for River Plate, during which he has netted three goals and delivered two assists. His current contract with the Argentine club is valid until the end of December 2026, and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is €3.5 million. Nevertheless, it is reported that Mastantuono's contract includes a €45 million release clause.

Franco Mastantuono was also linked with Manchester United, who appeared mysteriously in the race for his signature after Real Madrid decided to step back. The player recently signed a new contract with River Plate, increasing his release clause to 45 million euros.
