The 19-year-old forward, who joined Everton from Sunderland in September 2021, was a regular in Paul Tait's U21 side last season and participated in the senior squad's pre-season training camp in the Republic of Ireland this summer. Okoronkwo is set to join Karl Robinson's League Two team for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign, having played against them as a second-half substitute for Everton during pre-season.
