Bayern Munich are dragging their feet in pursuit of Assan Ouedraogo, giving England's elite a chance to pounce, according to German media. The midfielder proceeded to make headlines with his performances in the following weeks and helped Germany claim the World Cup in Indonesia in November. An injury, however, sidelined him for a while, but it did not diminish the interest in his services. For several weeks, it seemed inevitable that the 18-year-old would head to Bayern Munich this summer, with the player keen to join not just because of the pathway they offered but also because they agreed to loan him back to boyhood club Schalke for the upcoming season.

Assan Ouédraogo from Schalke is about to transfer to FC Bayern. The deal is not yet completed. Ouédraogo is supposed to sign a long-term contract with the record champion, but will be loaned out directly to Schalke again in the coming season. In Gelsenkirchen, Ouédraogo is not only supposed to gain more match practice, but also to finish school.
