Filip Benković Transfer to Eldense
Croatian defender Filip Benković, aged 27, did not finalize a contract with the Spanish second division club Eldense after spending two weeks on trial. Club spokesperson Sergio Navarro stated that a financial agreement satisfying both parties could not be reached. He explained that due to salary restrictions, they were unable to agree on the player's contract, resulting in his departure. At mid-season, Eldense, positioned in the relegation zone, had been considering signing Benković, who had played 16 matches on loan at Trabzonspor last season.
Croatian defender Filip Benković, who previously played for Dinamo Zagreb and Celtic, is currently on trial at Spanish second division club Eldense. The club made the announcement regarding his trial on Friday. After leaving the Italian club Udinese this summer, Benković is in search of a new club. He has traveled to Eldi, which is located 190 kilometers from Valencia, where coach Dani Ponz will evaluate him for several days. The decision on whether to sign him will be made by the management team in conjunction with new sporting director Miguel Angel Gomez.
