Federico Barba has departed from Como as Sion, a team in the Swiss league, has confirmed his signing. The defender, born in 1993, has committed to a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027. This transfer adds to the list of Italian players who have recently joined Sion, such as Gennaro Gattuso, Federico Dimarco, and Mario Balotelli. Barba became part of Como in the summer of 2023, transferring from Pisa, and participated in 8 matches this season across the league and Coppa Italia. In total, he made 41 appearances, netting 3 goals, and played a crucial role in aiding the team to secure promotion to Serie A for the first time in over twenty years.
