Facundo Pellistri leaving Manchester United?

Facundo Pellistri has departed from Manchester United to join Panathinaikos Athen, as confirmed by both clubs on their respective websites. The 22-year-old Uruguayan has signed a four-year contract with the Greek club. The clubs have not disclosed the transfer fee. According to "The Athletic," the base transfer fee is reported to be six million euros, with performance-related bonuses amounting to two million euros. Additionally, Manchester United has secured a buy-back option for the next three years and a resale participation of 45 percent.

Manchester United has officially announced the departure of Facundo Pellistri to Panathinaïkós. The Uruguayan winger, aged 22, had accumulated loans in recent seasons, first at Alavés, then at Granada. The English club will recover approximately 6 million euros in the operation and should retain a buy-back option for three years, in addition to a resale profit of 45%.

Manchester United signed Facundo Pellistri in October 2020 for 11 million euros. However, the Uruguayan winger never managed to establish himself at the Red Devils, appearing in only 13 league games.
