Fabian Reese Transfer from Hertha BSC to Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund showed interest in Fabian Reese before he suffered a serious ankle injury.
Fabian Reese could leave Hertha BSC this summer, despite having extended his contract until 2028 in February. After a great season in Berlin with nine goals and 14 assists in 31 league games, Reese is wanted by several Bundesliga clubs. However, BVB seems to be planning with Reese, should a transfer of Ian Maatsen (loaned from Chelsea until the end of June) not come about. This would also mean that Reese would be planned for a more defensive role at Dortmund than at Hertha, where the former Kiel player was allowed to whirl on both offensive wing positions. There was already interest from Bremen and Heidenheim in the winter. If the transfer to the Champions League finalists now works out, Reese would make the leap from a mediocre second division club to a Bundesliga top club.
