Ezechiel Banzuzi Transfer from OH Leuven to West Ham United

West Ham's transfer for OH Leuven midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi is delayed despite a verbal agreement. The formalization of the deal and medicals are on hold due to structural changes at West Ham, including the appointment of Kyle Macaulay as 'head of recruitment', which raises questions about Technical Director Tim Steidten's future. This transition may lead to a review of Banzuzi's transfer or a shift in club priorities. The player and Leuven await the completion of management changes.

West Ham United is actively exploring the January transfer market and has expressed interest in Dutch midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi, who currently plays for OH Leuven. Despite reports suggesting a deal has been finalized, a West Ham insider, ExWHUEmployee, clarified that no agreement has been reached with OH Leuven or the player's representatives. Both the player's agent and OH Leuven have reportedly denied that a transfer has been completed. However, it is possible that Vice-Chairman Karren Brady has independently made progress on the deal. It is reported that talks have continued with Banzuzi, and while West Ham is very keen on securing the midfielder's services, the selling club indicated that they are unlikely to sell during this window.

Ezechiël Banzuzi is on the verge of joining West Ham United. Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Jong Oranje international had come to a personal agreement with The Hammers. Subsequently, his club OH Leuven has also consented to the transfer, according to Sky Sports. The transfer involves a fee of ten million pounds, approximately 11.8 million euros, with possible bonuses reaching up to 3.5 million euros. West Ham initially secured an agreement with Banzuzi himself and has now also reached a consensus with Leuven. The Dutchman will be the first signing under new head coach Graham Potter in London.

West Ham United remains interested in Ezechiel Banzuzi after AS Monaco's withdrawal. The Hammers have already reached an agreement with Banzuzi, but their initial offer was rejected by OH Leuven. They have not yet submitted a second bid. OH Leuven is reportedly seeking a transfer fee of 13 million euros.

West Ham United is continuing its pursuit of Ezechiel Banzuzi, despite the difficulties encountered by their coach Julen Lopetegui. Currently, West Ham does not prioritize player transfers. Nonetheless, Monaco is leading the race, having engaged with the player's representatives and laid out a detailed sporting strategy. Banzuzi has reportedly reached a personal agreement with AS Monaco, and his club OH Leuven is expected to conclude negotiations with the Monegasques. The transfer might result in Leuven receiving up to thirteen million euros, including bonuses, with NAC also gaining from a 12.5% sell-on clause. Leicester City was initially a contender, but Monaco's compelling plan influenced the nineteen-year-old's decision.
