Enzo Díaz leaving River Plate?
Enzo Díaz has officially left River Plate to join San Pablo on loan. The loan deal includes a purchase obligation linked to certain objectives. Enzo expressed mixed feelings about his departure, noting that he did not like the way he left. Despite dealing with a hernia injury, he was determined to give his best in every match and training session. The hernia required surgery in November, which prevented him from participating in River's final matches in the professional league. Enzo joined River in January 2023 from Talleres de Córdoba for approximately $2.5 million. Although his release clause was set at $15 million, the purchase obligation for San Pablo is estimated to be around $3 million.
Enzo Díaz's participation was limited due to injuries and direct competition with Marcos Acuña, who displaced him. He is one of the players that Marcelo Gallardo does not count on for the future of River Plate.
