Enzo Díaz Transfer from River Plate to AEK Athens
The Argentinian website 'Soy del millo' has reported that AEK is showing interest in signing Enzo Diaz during the upcoming winter transfer window. According to the report, Matias Almeyda has given his approval for negotiations to take place between AEK and River Plate concerning the 28-year-old Argentine left-back. AEK is reportedly aiming for a loan agreement with a purchase option, whereas River Plate is seeking a permanent sale. Diaz, who has a contract with River until December 2026, is reportedly lacking playing time at the club and is eager to move abroad, with a particular interest in joining AEK.
According to Argentine reporter Germán García Grova, AEK has shown interest in loaning the 28-year-old left-back from River Plate. AEK is contemplating a loan deal with an option to purchase. However, River Plate is only open to a permanent transfer. Díaz's contract with River Plate runs until December 2026. This season, he has made 28 appearances and provided two assists. He was acquired from Talleres in January 2023 for 2.3 million euros.
