E. Krafth: Newcastle United Contract Extension
Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, has personally authorized a contract extension for Emil Krafth, despite the player being out with a broken collarbone. Krafth is 30 years old and has only played three games in the current campaign, the last one being in September. The extension is seen as a message to other squad members that the manager values Krafth's contribution and wants to maintain competition for places within the team.
Emil Krafth, the Swedish international and defender for Newcastle United, is eager to remain at St. James’ Park beyond the current season as his contract approaches its expiration next summer. According to journalist Alan Nixon, Krafth has settled comfortably in the area and become a valued squad member since his arrival in 2019 from Amiens SC for £5 million. Despite injuries this season, he is expected to return to fitness by mid-January and is keen to extend his stay at the club.
