Inter has decided not to exercise its buy-back option for Emil Audero. The agreement between Sampdoria and Inter was based on a loan with a fee of 2 million, plus another 7 million for the buy-back option, which would have become mandatory in case of Inter qualifying for the next Champions League with Audero playing in more than 40% of all matches played by the team. The goal was not achieved, so Audero will return to Sampdoria.

Inter should redeem for 7 million. It is unlikely that the Italian Champions will opt for this path.
