Elyess Dao, an 18-year-old French-Moroccan striker, has made a transfer from Amiens to Anderlecht. Dao had been with Amiens for only six months after arriving from Toulouse on a free transfer. In his short time at Amiens, he scored two goals and provided one assist across seventeen official matches, demonstrating his potential and prompting Anderlecht to finalize his transfer. Dao has signed a contract with Anderlecht that extends until 2029. Olivier Renard, the sporting director, expressed admiration for Dao's versatility and potential to play in all offensive positions, highlighting his speed and strength on the ball as qualities that align well with Anderlecht's style. Although there was significant interest from other clubs, Dao opted to join Anderlecht, where he may either be integrated into the A-team or start with the Futures. Additionally, Dao is a Moroccan U20 international, having earned three caps so far.
