Demir Ege, a 20-year-old central midfielder, has joined Rio Ave on loan from Besiktas until June 2025. This will be his first experience outside of Turkey. Last season, he played 29 games for Besiktas, including appearances in the Conference League. He has already met his new teammates and attended Rio Ave's 1-0 victory over Arouca in the fourth round of the Liga Portugal.

Beşiktaş announced that Demir Ege Tıknaz has been temporarily transferred to Rio Ave until the end of the 2024-25 season.
