Efthymios Koulouris Transfer from Pogoń Szczecin to Panathinaikos

Efthymios Koulouris has also drawn interest from Panathinaikos, his home country's club. A transfer offer of around 1.5 million euros might be sufficient to secure his move to Panathinaikos. The player's status as a top scorer in the league makes him a valuable target.

Efthymios Koulouris is reportedly being considered for a major transfer to Panathinaikos. Despite this interest, it seems likely that the Greek player will remain with Pogoń Szczecin for the rest of the season. Koulouris, who is currently the standout player in Robert Kolendowicz's team, has scored twelve goals in nineteen matches during the autumn round and is a leading candidate for the Ekstraklasa top scorer title. Pogoń's financial troubles have led to concerns among fans about the potential need to sell their star player. However, journalist Piotr Koźmiński from Goal.pl has indicated that Koulouris is expected to stay in Szczecin at least until the summer, according to the player's representatives.

Pogoń Szczecin is encountering significant financial challenges and is actively seeking new revenue streams. Recent developments suggest a potential sale of Efthymios Koulouris. Piotr Koźmiński, during the 'Nasz news' program on the Goal.pl channel, indicated that 1.5 million euros could promptly be transferred to Szczecin regarding this transaction. Koulouris is one of the top performers in the Ekstraklasa autumn round, having netted eleven goals in 17 matches. His outstanding performance has attracted interest from international clubs, notably Panathinaikos, which is eager to secure his services. Koźmiński noted that there is current interest in Koulouris, and a sale for 1.5 million euros is possible. Nonetheless, there are apprehensions that other clubs might attempt to purchase him for a lower amount, given Pogoń's financial predicament. Supporters are hopeful about retaining him through a potential acquisition of the club by Canadian businessman Alex Haditaghi, with negotiations still underway.

During a press conference, Robert Kolendowicz, the coach of Pogon Szczecin, acknowledged the club's interest in the talented Greek striker, Efthymis Koulouris. Despite this interest, he expressed a desire for Koulouris to stay with the team, as the player is under contract until the summer of 2026. Kolendowicz commended Koulouris for his conduct in both matches and training, and described him as the best striker in the Polish league.
