Dušan Vlahović: Juventus Contract Extension

Cristiano Giuntoli is working on renewing Dusan Vlahovic's contract with Juventus. The new contract will be longer but with a reduced annual salary.

Juventus is looking to expedite the renewal of Dusan Vlahovic's contract, which is set to expire on June 30, 2026. The club aims to avoid a situation similar to that of Federico Chiesa, who was sold to Liverpool to prevent losing him on a free transfer. Juventus plans to initiate talks by the end of September and finalize them by the end of 2024. The proposal may include extending the contract to 2028 or 2029, with a salary of 10 million plus bonuses, spreading out the payments over more years. Vlahovic would need to agree to a lower fixed salary while maintaining a double-digit income through bonuses. The club remains optimistic, partly due to the positive influence of coach Thiago Motta.

Juventus is prioritizing the contract renewal of Dusan Vlahovic. Discussions began before the summer with the player's agent. Vlahovic's current salary is 12 million net per year, which totals 21 million gross. Juventus wants to reduce this amount through a new contract that includes bonuses to lessen the financial burden. Vlahovic has expressed enthusiasm about staying at Juventus, and a solution that satisfies both parties is being sought.

Giuntoli wants to reopen negotiations to extend his contract to avoid a new case like Chiesa.

Dusan Vlahovic's contract with Juventus is under review. The current contract, which expires on June 30, 2026, includes a salary increase from 7.5 million EUR initially to 12.5 million EUR in the final season. Juventus wants to avoid a situation similar to 'Chiesa' and plans to reopen negotiations with Vlahovic's agents for a contract renewal after the market concludes.

Juventus plans to sit down with Dusan Vlahovic and his entourage after the season to discuss the renewal of his contract. The idea is to extend it by one or two years, also to lower the amortization costs, as well as to show unconditional trust in the player who arrived in the winter of 2022. The appointment between the parties has been set at the end of the championship when, hopefully, an Italian Cup could have been won and especially the qualification to the next Champions League will be official. In this season, the former Fiorentina player has made a total of 34 appearances with 17 goals and 3 assists.
