D. Solanke Transfer from AFC Bournemouth to Chelsea

Chelsea showed interest in Dominic Solanke but backed off due to the high asking price of 75 million euro.

Solanke could return to the Blues.

Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke is linked with Chelsea. His goalscoring success has attracted Chelsea's interest ahead of the summer transfer window. Solanke has a release clause worth £65m in his current contract.

Chelsea could now look to target Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke. Solanke has enjoyed a brilliant season in the Premier League scoring 19 goals this season. He’s also a Chelsea youth academy product having come through the ranks at the club from a young age before infamously moving to Liverpool on a free transfer. Chelsea need a proven goal-scorer with Nicholas Jackson having struggled to put away his chances last season. Solanke is exactly that, having proven himself in the Premier League. He is now turning into his prime years and is definitely ready for the step-up to a bigger club. Chelsea could be a smart destination for him. Although Bournemouth will be reluctant to sell. HITC’s report suggests there is a £65m release clause in Solanke’s contract which can be active. However, considering Chelsea are struggling to maintain financial fair play regulations as it is, that kind of sum of money would be quite a steep sum for the club to fork out.
