Djevencio van der Kust Transfer from Sparta Rotterdam to Beerschot-Wilrijk
Djevencio van der Kust is set to spend the remainder of the season on loan at Beerschot in Belgium, with no option to buy included in the agreement. This decision came after changes in Van der Kust's situation at Sparta Rotterdam, which were partly due to the arrival of Patrick van Aanholt. The move aims to provide Van der Kust with increased playing time, aiding his further development before his return to Rotterdam at the end of the season. Sparta Rotterdam confirmed the loan on their official website, where technical director Gerard Nijkamp outlined the reasons for the decision. Van der Kust, who joined Sparta in 2023 from FC Utrecht and quickly established himself as a first-team regular, has experienced limited playing opportunities this season, having participated in thirteen Eredivisie matches. With a total of 48 appearances for Sparta, the loan to Beerschot, under the guidance of Dirk Kuyt, presents him with the opportunity to gain more minutes on the field in Antwerp before heading back to Rotterdam.
