Diogo Leite Transfer from FC Union Berlin to Galatasaray
Diogo Leite is contemplating a last-minute transfer. According to the Turkish newspaper 'Yeni Asir,' Galatasaray is keen on signing the central defender this week, and Leite is reportedly open to the idea of moving to Istanbul. It is said that intensive negotiations are ongoing with both Union Berlin and the 26-year-old Portuguese player. Galatasaray's coach, Okan Buruk, has reportedly given his approval for Leite's signing, viewing him as an alternative to Milan Skriniar, who opted for Fenerbahce. Leite, a left-footed player who was acquired by Union Berlin for seven million euros from FC Porto, is currently contracted with Union Berlin until 2026. He has been a crucial player for the team, having started in 19 of the 21 official matches this season. His potential departure would represent a significant loss for Union Berlin as they strive to avoid relegation, presently positioned in 14th place in the league.
